Sylvan Sorcerer Druid animal companion question

Rules Questions

If you have a Sylvan Sorcerer 1/Druid X:
I assume you have just one animal companion, and that the levels stack.
Do you just end up with an animal companion as powerful as a full druid?

linky:

Bloodline Powers: Your magic shows a kinship to that of the beast-talkers and shapechanger fey.

Animal Companion (Ex): You gain an animal companion. Your effective druid level for this ability is equal to your sorcerer level – 3 (minimum 1st). This bloodline power counts as your bloodline arcana and also replaces laughing touch.

Sovereign Court

I would assume [Sorc-3=Y(minimum one), Y+X=Z effective level] would make more sense than [Sorc+X-3=Z effective level(minimum one)] since the first option would keep you at "effective lvl 1 druid" until get to lvl 5.
*edited*

See i thought that at first for a sec, but then I realized that would mean if I went from (for example) Druid 11 to Druid 11/Sorcerer 1 the increase would make my animal companion go DOWN 2 levels in effective power.
Congrats, new level! You unlock the power of your sylvan heritage! This makes your Animal Companion... weaker. Remove one of his feats, his Str/Dex is reduced etc...

And that doesn't seem right :P

Oh wait haha edit..

ok so ignore previous post then :P

Sovereign Court

*second option would keep you at...
Yep, my bad. I tend to post and then edit alot. Pretty tired too, I mixed them up.

Alrighty, then we are on the same page then :)
(including the tired part)
