I made this with 15 point buy. Its meant to be able to survive and then kill full casters. Helpful advice about its build would be appreciated.

Looks like a good character. Now we just have to wait for the traditional argument of "Well, I'm a diviner so I win Initiative".

One thing I'll ask though, is the reasoning behind a high CMD vs Disarm when you have a locked gauntlet. I have an idea, but will wait to see your reasoning.

Yeah, thats why i built him to be able survive even if he loses Initiative.

As for the Locked Gauntlet it says it adds +10 to CMD against Disarm.

Ah, that wasn't what I thought it was for. I'm assuming the bow is in the locked gauntlet then?

Yes.

Well then I have to admit this is a well thought-out mage slayer. Nicely done.

Dark Archive

For a Mage slaying high level package, ideal is:

*Ring of Freedom of Movement
*Boots of Teleportation
*Something for flying
*Detect Invis (permanency)
+6 in saves via item (there is a chipped ioun stone that gives a +1 that stacks with resistance for 4000 GP)

That's the standard set; AC should be in the 60 range or ignored at this level; 36 is hit too easily by anything attacking.

Being a dwarf with Steely Soul will save you a LOT of feats.
That'll make a Mage survivor: but you have to up your damage to pull off "Mage slayer"; regardless of init win.

Consider this. Mantle of resistance, +5 all ST, costs 25k. You can have a version with different type of bonus for 50k, holy/profane, lucky, insight. Totally you can have a +20 ST. Consider that this costs, more or less, as a book of int/wis/cha +5, less if you take 4 different items.
I don't think you should bother playing in this way. If you got problems in your game with some spells change it, and do the same with this overpowered magic item :)
But, if you'r interested in stuffs like this, buy that cloak and enjoy.

Ah, is he "The Magekiller" bounty hunter, who brings down the wizards of the world when they get out of hand...for the right price...

Since you are eventually going to be immune to mind affecting abilities I would consider dropping the Iron Will feats.

I also think a dwarf would be better mechanically and it opens up the steel soul (think that is the one) feat for even better saves.

Only real negative is the reduced move.

Thanks for the input so far very helpful. This is my first draft but it does need some tinkering with.

I want to keep the Unbreakable Archetype for the Immune to Mind-Affecting, since that seems vital to an anti-caster. I'll keep tinkering until i think i've got something good.

At the very least i have a posted build, that's more than most theory casters non-existent builds. :)
