Character Name Change?

I have seen the other thread where it is not allowed to make a completely different character at the same level; however, is it allowed to change the name of a character whilst keeping every thing else the exact same? I love my character, but hate his name (although I liked it at the time).

Not sure if you can change the name online, but you certainly can start referring to him by another name during game play. Shoot, have it be an adopted name from a new region, or severing part of his past. Roleplay it up!

As long as you have not made 10 posts on the forums here with that alias, you can still change it,. Once you hit that 10 post mark, it gets locked in.

Now, it is possible that, if you smooze him nicely enough, that you might get Russ Byers or someone else with the ability to change the name even after that time, but I don't know if even the web guys have the ability/authority to do so.

I think changing your name would be similar to changing any of your characters other stats.

If you registered a character and haven’t played it in a game, you would need to contact web support for help to change the name.

If you used the character in a game, I think you are stuck with the name. All you can really do is come up with a nickname or alias to refer to the character in-game. Even with the alias all your paperwork would need to be done with the character’s original name.
