Magic Jar and Dispel Magic

Rules Questions

Liberty's Edge

A few Magic Jar questions:

If a person who is being possessed by Magic Jar is targeted with a Dispel Magic, does the dispel suppress the possession, end the Magic Jar spell, or do nothing?

If the lifeless body that originally cast the Magic Jar is targeted with a Dispel Magic, does the dispel end the Magic Jar spell or do nothing?

If a Shadow Demon uses shadow blend and then casts Magic Jar, would the shadow blend continue to function on the lifeless body?

"...and the spell can be dispelled at either the magic jar or the host's location."

It's right there in the very last line of the spell. If the effect is dispelled from either location, the entire spell effect ends. No more host possession. No more magic jar. You're either dead, or back in your body.

[what Raving Dork said] ... depending on the locations of your body, the jar, and whoever you're possessing.

"...host's location." Is the host's location the possessed person, lifeless body, or both?

What about shadow blend on the shadow demon. Does it continue to work while the shadow demon's body is lifeless?

The host is the possessed creature. The magic jar(the gem) is most likely to be with the caster of the spell, unless he has someone holding it for him.

The "host" is always the inhabited body (provided you are inhabiting it at that time).

The shadow demon's ability continues to function, even while apparently lifeless.

I did not catch the shadow demon part.

I just use it(the shadow demon) as a possession type thing. It makes more sense that way to me.

PS:In short the demon actually enters the person's body if the save is failed.
