Could I get some help with the CR system?

Rules Questions

How do I set CRs for things made completely from class levels? As in, a human?

Grand Lodge

1 = 1 as far as I know.

EDIT:
Wait, do you mean a 9th Lvl Human
or a (for example) Succubus with 9 "human" Class Levels?

Like a 9th level human. I'm pretty sure CR is less than party level, but not sure how much.

Grand Lodge

Yeah, pretty sure 1 = 1.

Back in 3E it was different but I'm pretty sure one of Paizo's goals was to change that. (Back then a group of FOUR PCs = the CR, so FOUR 9th Level PCs = CR 9 -- theoretically at least.) .... (Notice all of the Classes in Pathfinder are a bit stronger in the new edition than in 3E.)

Actually....

CR with PC class levels = n - 1
CR with NPC class levels = n - 2

n = total levels

Trust Gorbacz.

(Indeed, trust anyone in a RAW conversation over me.)
