Sovereign Court 4/5 ** Venture-Agent, Indiana—Valparaiso

Hey everyone,

I just found out there's a new con (its 2nd year) right in my own town!

I contacted the organizers to see about getting some society going and they said they've already been in touch with the Chicago VC and the Indianapolis VC so there will definitely be some Society action.

If those VCs are reading what are the plans?

I can muster some local GMs and players for you if need be.

Silver Crusade 5/5

Noooo! My Carrion Crown session is scheduled for that day! Curses to the lack of my ability to duplicate with a hive mind at will!

Yea the Grand Lodge of Indianapolis is mustering as we speak. So to speak the dragon has awaken.

Currently we are mustering, from Indianapolis we curently have VC VL and a handful of GM's that have answered the call.

Sovereign Court 4/5 ** Venture-Agent, Indiana—Valparaiso

Glad to hear it. I've DMed for the Michigan VC before and GMed a lot of local society games (at home and at a venue) and know most of the locals, let me know if you need any more people to run/help out.

Otherwise I'll be happy to show up and play.

Chris, is there a website, or any online info regarding this mini-Con?

Wish I could attend, but I'll be recovering from GamiCon

Bob I haven't received a proper website yet. To my understanding it is a single day convention for charity, I think it is in its second year. Once I get some more info I will post it here.

Only website I've found is http://www.arcticon.webs.com/ and it's not too informative.

Still Chris if you need help mustering up GMs or scenarios let me know, I can rally some local talent.

Hey Vance, can you send me an email to TracyPFSIndy at a gmail dot com address? I might like to get one or more local GMs as back up in case some of us here cannot end up making the drive.

Thanks!

Let me give you the link for the convention.
ArticCon, February 18, 2012 in Valparaiso, IN

Here is a link to the Pathfinder Society Games. (I am running two sessions): ArctiCon Pathfinder Society Games

So, if you are interested please come on out. We are having some judges coming from as far away as Indianapolis to run events.

Silver Crusade 5/5

With a name like Artic con and Valparaiso, I thought the con was in Chile.....silly me, its in Indianapolis.

Good luck with the con.

Sovereign Court 4/5 ** Venture-Agent, Indiana—Valparaiso

Actually it's in Valparaiso IN.

We're 2.5 hours away from Indy and only 1.5 from Chicago

Liberty's Edge 4/5 *** Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Northwestern Indiana

The entry cost for the convention is $15 but there will be no charge for Pathfinder Society events. The first sessions will start at noon Central time.

Vance I think a couple of us will only be there for a single day, So if you have some good food spots let's here them please. :)

Sovereign Court 4/5 ** Venture-Agent, Indiana—Valparaiso

Valpo's actually got lots of good restaurants.

Depends on what cuisine you're looking for.

I should be able to print up a small local map that might help, but Vance is the Valparaiso expert.

We still have room for players, we have great mods, and the events are free. (Yes, there is a price for attending the con, but $15 is not too bad.)

For food I usually like something that once has had legs. Flippers and fins are good also, beaks or claws strickly out of the question. Some place close or that delivers would be nice.

Sovereign Court 4/5 ** Venture-Agent, Indiana—Valparaiso

Well we had a small showing, only ran 6 tables total but fun was had by all!

Thanks to the Indy crew and William Ronald for running!

I certainly had a blast!

So Vance if you can forward http://www.whosyergamers.org to the society players up there we would like to have you guys down for this con.

I enjoyed Arcticon and I liked playing all 3 First Steps scenarios in a row. Doubtless I'm not the first to consider official ways of tweaking those scenarios to increase "replay-ability",(for example 3 different encounter possibilities for each 'encounter slot' in a given scenario).

I really liked meeting the World War 2 reenactors at the con, although not all RPG-ers like to mix their metaphors.

Sovereign Court 4/5 ** Venture-Agent, Indiana—Valparaiso

Sadly I won't be able to make it myself.

I'll spread the word though.

I also made sure that Lightspeed Hobbies got a copy of the flyer for the upcoming convention. I had a great time and I thought that the group of players was wonderful.
