WAR's Art

Does anyone else really wish WAR would do a portrait of their character?

A better question is: does anybody have the money for that? :)

I wonder how much it would cost to get a finished drawing, fully colored just like the finished iconics.

Absolutely not. The stick figures I do for them keeps them feeling down-to-earth and approachable. That's much better than a slick, polished production, which would only make them feel elevated and unapproachable.

I wonder how much it would cost, or if he would even take on such a commission. I'm pretty sure he only accepts commercial stuff (for paizo and the like).

Edit: Confirmed. He will only accept a commission if it will be published.

I love Wayne's art, and always have - I don't think I've seen so much as a single piece of work he has done that I didn't feel was awesome.

I wouldn't even let him pay me to do a portrait of one of my characters. His style would never match the way my mind's eye sees things, and I'd hate to spoil myself on his art by taking it personally when he failed to do the impossible (that being to get the art "right" for my character).

I wouldn't mind buying the original Graz'zt gives Iggwilv the Pit Fiend Cloak painting.

There's a handful others, too, I'd buy.

But of one of my own PCs -- nah.
