Temple Sword

This isn't a Jian sword... its more of a heavy Dao with the rings/bells along the backside. But thanks for the input- might help others who are looking for the proper Asian-flavored weapon. :-)

What is a Jian Sword?
Historically, the Wu Mountian monasteries used straight bladed swords, both piercing and slashing. Other name brand techniques used two mirrored slashing weapons.

As shown, that's essentially identical to the European arming sword, which is the model for the D&D "longsword." A straight, double-edged sword about 3 ft. long and weighing 2 to 2.5 lbs shouldn't have different combat stats just because of its country of origin! (Then again, I also don't think the "kama" should have different stats from the sickle).
