There are voters today who have spent their entire educational lives with the Internet available.
Scary
On the one hand, these people should just naturally distrust authority - the way they've learned to distrust any web page. It's been an age of extreme narcissism (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) where everyone just assumes what they think has value (even thoughts which have been pondered as long as a Facebook post).
On the other hand, the extreme interconnectedness has made Alpha dogs all that much influential.

I'm not saying that it spells doom for the future of politics, but I do think it spells significant change. I'm curious what the full effect of it will be.

At the same time it's scary how ignorant people are.

Do you know how many people still believe that the President has sole leadership over the US?

Also many people assume that because something's been said a lot and becomes popular that's it must be correct; very few people actually check sources.

Even though there is more information and it is more accessible giving people the potential to make wiser decisions; I think as a whole people are still just as gullible.

Still, having all that information available is better than having it all filtered through someone with an agenda.
