Spiritual ally and haste / blessing of fevor

Rules Questions

I still haven't gotten an answer to this question yet. Can a spiritual ally gain the benefits of haste or BOF? I belive it can due to the fact that it occupies a square and can make AOO's whereas the spiritual weapon can not. Our DM has ruled that because the spiritual ally is a construct of force, has no stats, and is not a living being, can not gain the benefits of the buff spells. Any light shed on this would be welcomed. Thanks....

Your DM is correct. Haste and Fervor both target "creatures." While the spiritual ally counts as an ally, it is not a creature. The only ways in which it acts like a normal creature are by occupying a space, threatening an area, and taking attacks of opportunity. Beyond that, it is no more a creature than a Spiritual Weapon or Mage's Sword.

I would also have to agree with your GM. I have an oracle that uses both Spiritual Ally and Blessings of Fervor quite frequently, and I've never applied the BoF benefits to the SA. Since the SA is a force effect that mimics a creature, it never seemed like something to which other beneficial spells could be applied.
