Off-topic: Paizo has said in the past that boxed sets rarely make economic sense. Also note that some overseas customers hate boxed sets because then they get taxed as imported games rather than imported books.

I busted out the old Player's handbook to tidy up on some old rules. Wow the magic of the old days came back to me with that old Player's Handbook back. I started rereading the book and forgot so much of the game but it's all coming back to me, coming back to me. I used to venture in the Forgotton Realms, and Ravenloft. I am eager to venture back to these places to catch up with some old friends.
How about AD&D 1st edition? I'm running a very long-lived 1E campaign.

I got into RPG games when the 2nd edition books came out. Now that the 1st edition books are being rereleased in August, I might have to check it out if I have the extra funds. For those 3 books will be another hundred bucks.

They could easily have a web-store "boxed set" that adds in certain goodies for easy purchase, perhaps with a slight discount.

For example, a "Advanced Player's Box Set" might come with the APG, a set of Condition and Equipment cards, some iconic miniatures, and a set of dice.

They could easily make a box set if they wanted. They made one with the Beginner box set.

How would that be more profitable for Paizo than selling those things separately? And how do those products you mentioned have anything in common?
