Ok, so I'm trying to figure out what the damage dice for a shield bash with a throwing shield.
A shield bash with a light shield is listed as 1d3 (Based off of the d20pfsrd website) but a throwing shield's damage dice is listed as being 1d6.
Which do I use for a melee shield bash? 1d3 or 1d6?
Also, since you can't normally make a shield out of adamantine, can you still make one based adamantine off the assumption that you're going to use is offensively as a weapon? Would I have to pay 450 gold to make it a masterwork shield and weapon?

Wrong forum, this should go into Rules Questions in general, as it is not PFSOP specific.
For use in shield bash, it would continue as a 1d3 weapon, as the extra size to the damage die comes from the momentum and the edge, where in melee, you are slapping someone with the face of the shield.
And you can always make a metal shield out of Adamantine, you can't make a wooden shield out of Adamantine.
At a guess, but it would need either an update to the core rules or an FAQ entry, I would say that making a shield out of Adamantine would be at the +3,000 gp that it would cost to make a weapon out of Adamantine. Remember that making something out of Adamantine always makes that item masterwork in quality, as well. For a shield, however, I would think it would impart the masterwork qualities for armor, not weapons, so no +1 to hit for masterwork.
