Tornados and Fortitude saves

Rules Questions

Hi,

I was generating the weather today for my campaign and got a tornado :)
Reading up on tornado's I decided not to let it land in the hex they are in (I am running a Kingmaker AP) or get it anywhere near them for that matter. Still I was, and remain, rather stumped as to the DC of the fortitude save mentioned in the description of a tornado.

is it:
a) not mentioned anywhere
b) a typo and it should be the blown away/checked Strength DC

I did find fort DC's in the DnD 3.5 weather generator I'm using.

thanks for answering

I do believe it's a typo; use Strength checks and Fly checks as described. Also, you could look at the whirlwind ability of an air elemental if you like.

I must say that a DC15 strength check seems a bit low, the old fort save was 30, although it is in line with the whirlwind descriptor at low level. As I read on the CR of a tornado is stated as 10 which would put it in line with a greater air elemental (CR9, DC23).

Still on the fence about this one. Thanks for the quick answer though :)
