Book of Exalted Deeds's Apostle of Peace

Conversions

This PrC might well be ALL what I want for a character who's a real saint- a thaumaturgic and pacifist cleric/oracle with great powers of conversion, healing and protection. So help me converting it, please!

My ideas as for now:
Convert the requisite Will bonus in "Spells: must be able to cast 3rd-level divine spells", limiting it to divine spellcasters.
Requisite skills: Knowledge (Religion) 7 ranks, Diplomacy 3 ranks (maybe more?)

The Heroic Wows among the requisites should be converted in class abilities, but I don't know how yet.
Spells would stack with one divine spellcasting class; so should be for channel energy.
BAB: 3/4.
Saves: GPG.
Pacifying Touch should be mantained more or less identical.
Censure Fiends = Channel Alignment, maybe with some whimsical variant, such as baleful polymorph or pup shape on evil outsiders at high levels.

What do you think? Comments please...

Would someone be able to help this man out?

I'm a huge fan of the Exalted Book when I owned it and plan to do (what I had planned do to in FR) something with both of the Exalted books, demons, angels, etc. I'd love to see the conversion or really how to properly go about converting something like this class into Pathfinder too!

Thanks for posting this Bardess, keeping my open on this!

Well, by modern standards, it'd look like this, more or less:

Alignment: Any good
Base Save Bonuses: Will +5
Skills: Diplomacy 3 ranks
Feats: Sacred Vow, Nonviolence, Vow of Peace, Vow of Poverty

I'd personally remove the Base Save qualifier. In designing PrCs, saves are usually a no-no for prerequisites. I'd also probably put more into the skills. Say Diplomacy 5 ranks, Sense Motive 5 ranks. As for the feats, they don't exist in Pathfinder, so I'd probably drop them for now and instead put in Iron Will (to reflect the discipline you're going to need) and Alignment Channel. I would likely also add a prerequisite of being able to cast first level divine spells.

I agree with the spellcasting for the class; it should be "+1 level in a divine spellcasting class", I think.
BAB: This is a class that shouldn't be fighting, so poor BAB.
Saves: Here I'm torn. How this guy is going to survive in most campaigns, I don't know. I feel giving him good saves in all categories isn't too much, but I'm not sure.
For Censure Fiends, I'd use Alignment Channel and Turn Undead as my foundation and say they can "turn" fiends (aka evil outsiders), using their combined levels in this class and any previous divine classes.

For an additional ability, I'd probably let them spontaneously cast calm emotions as a cleric casts cure spells.

Nice start (and, ehm, I'm a woman)^^
I'm actually trying to convert the BED vows in another thread, and hoped to do my conversion of the class after. Actually, I think I could put together all these ideas (and some other from other sources in a "Book of Peaceful Priests" or something.

I agree on the poor BAB and HD. Good idea giving Alignment Channel and Turn Undead as bonus feats; indeed, I'd give even more channel bonuses with level advancement. Should Channel Energy be a prerequisite (limiting the class to clerics, paladins and some oracles) or not? Way I see it, being an Apostle could be good for druids, but non for paladins.
I think to give some vow bonuses from BED as class abilities at high level, making the vows lighter and more viable for other characters (also because they're nearly impossible to fulfill for someone who doesn't aim to become an Apostle). I also think to make a prerequisite having access to the Peace domain (mine own invention, see the above thread) or to the Peace Mystery (another invention of mine, I'll post that in the next days).
Glad to have found someone who likes this class like me! If you could give me a hand converting the vows system, we could do it faster and better!^^

I'm still reading through the Vows thread and considering what you're doing, so I've no comments to make on that Bardess. I personally like the idea of Vows, it's always the implementation that leaves me feeling meh. When I have a comment to make, I'll make it, have no fear!

So here it is. I transferred some paladin powers, oracle powers and BED vow abilities in the class to make it more powerful and interesting. I took some ideas from the opposite Rage Prophet PrC, too. Feedback please!

The Apostle of Peace:

Alignment: Any good.
Hit Die: d6.

Requirements
Spells:
Able to cast 3rd–level divine spells.
Skills: Diplomacy 3 ranks, Knowledge (Religion) 7 ranks.
Feats: Vow of Obedience
Special: The character must have taken the Vows of Nonviolence (at least the Severe form) and Poverty (at least the Moderate form) (see the link above for my other thread about the Priestly Vows)

Class Skills: The apostle of peace's class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are Bluff (Cha), Craft (Int), Diplomacy (Cha), Escape Artist (Dex), Handle Animal (Wis), Heal (Wis), Knowledge (all, Int), Linguistics (Int), Perception (Wis), Perform (Cha), Profession (Wis), Sense Motive (Wis), and Spellcraft (Int).

Skill Points per Level: 4 + Int modifier.

Class Features: The following are class features of the apostle of peace prestige class.
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: An apostle of peace gains no proficiency with any weapon or armor. Actually, as part of her sacred vows, an apostle of peace forswears the use of armor, though she may wear magic items that protect her, such as a ring of protection or bracers of armor. An apostle of peace who wears any armor is unable to cast spells or use any of her supernatural class abilities while doing so and for 24 hours thereafter.

BAB:1/2
Saves:GPG
Class Abilities:
1) Channel positive energy, Sacred soul
2) Apostle domain, Pacifying touch
3) Turn undead
4) Apostle domain, Ascetic power
5) Channel alignment
6) Apostle domain, Pacifying aura
7) Punitive transformation
8) Apostle domain, Ascetic power
9) Censure alignment
10) Apostle domain, Avatar of peace

Spells per Day: At each level, an apostle of peace gains new spells per day as if she had also gained a level in a divine spellcasting class she belonged to before adding the prestige class. She does not, however, gain other benefits a character of that class would have gained, except for additional spells per day, spells known (if she is a spontaneous caster), and an increased effective level of spellcasting. If she had more than one divine spellcasting class before becoming an apostle of peace, she must decide to which class she adds the new level for the purpose of determining spells per day.
Channel Positive Energy (Su): The apostle of peace’s class level stacks with levels in any other class that grants the channel energy ability. If the apostle of peace doesn’t belong to a class that grants the channel energy ability, she can channel energy as a cleric of a level equal to her apostle of peace class level.
Sacred Soul: An apostle of peace’s class level stacks with her divine spellcasting class levels for determining the effect of her domain powers and/or oracle revelations. This does not grant additional abilities.
Apostle Domain: At 2nd level and every even level thereafter, an apostle of peace is granted an additional spell from his god. These spells are considered additional mystery or domain spells. If the apostle of peace’s a spontaneous spellcaster, she cannot exchange these spells for different spells at higher levels. The apostle of peace must be able to cast divine spells of the listed level to have access to one of these spells, and treats this spell as a divine spell of the listed level. The possible spells are ablative barrier (2nd), admonishing ray (2nd), atonement (5th), compel hostility (1st), forbid action (4th), forced repentance (4th), greater hostile juxtaposition (7th), hostile juxtaposition (5th), hostile levitation (3rd), mass pain strike (5h), negative reaction (1st), pain strike (3rd), paladin’s sacrifice (2nd), and veil of positive energy (1st). A druid/apostle of peace can gain this benefit only if she used the nature bond ability to gain a domain, otherwise not. The apostle of peace can also cast the enhanced diplomacy spell as a spell-like ability a number of times per day equal to her apostle of peace level.
Pacifying Touch (Su): At 2nd level, an apostle of peace gains the ability to pacify hostile or angry creatures by touch. The effect is similar to the calm emotions spell. The apostle can affect only a single target with each use of the ability, and must touch the target. A touched creature receives no saving throw and spell resistance does not apply. The pacifying touch does not suppress positive emotions, just anger, rage, and hostility. The apostle of peace can make a level check as if casting dispel magic, using his character level as his caster level, to dispel certain mind-affecting spells affecting the target. The pacifying touch can only dispel spells that incite violent emotions in the target, such as fear or rage.
Turn Undead: At 3rd level, the apostle of peace receives Turn Undead as a bonus feat.
Ascetic Powers (Su): At 4th level, the apostle of peace acts as if she constantly were under the effect of an oath of peace spell: for as long as she doesn’t attack or show hostility toward any creature, she gains a +5 sacred bonus to AC and DR 10/evil. At 8th level, her DR/evil when benefitting of this ability increases to 15 and she gains immunity to all enchantment spells and spell-like abilities.
Channel Alignment: At 5th level, the apostle of peace is granted Channel Alignment as a bonus feat.
Pacifying Aura (Su): At 6th level, the apostle of peace’s pacifying touch power extends all around her calming the emotions of everyone near. This aura has a radius of 20 feet. Creatures within the aura must make a successful Will save (DC 10 + ½ the apostle of peace’s level + her Cha modifier) or be affected as by the calm emotions spell. Creatures who leave the aura and reenter it receive new saving throws. A creature that makes a successful saving throw and remains in the aura is unaffected until it leaves the aura and reenters. The aura is a mind-affecting, supernatural compulsion.
Punitive Transformation (Su): At 7th level, the apostle of peace can expend an use of channel energy to transform an opponent into a harmless animal as if using pup shape or baleful polymorph (as with the peace mystery revelation). This transformation lasts 1 round per level of the apostle of peace. Transforming another creature causes the first to immediately revert to normal.
Censure Alignment (Su): At 9th level, the apostle of peace can expend two uses of channel energy on a fiend to cast a destruction spell on it with a +4 bonus on her casting level. If the fiend saves or survives the destruction spell, it must make a new saving throw against a banishment spell, as if cast by the apostle of peace with the same bonus.
Avatar of Peace (Su): At 10th level, the apostle of peace gains perfect sanctity and union with the utter forces of good. She receives a bonus on all saving throws equal to her relevant ability modifier (Wisdom or Charisma) and may cast summon monster IX as a spell-like ability once for day.
