Soulbolt as a Prestige Class (Soulbow conversion)

So the soulbow, which is owned by WotC, was never converted, but the soulknife was. When I thought the PrC was going to get converted, they instead decided to do it up as an archetype. That's no fun. I've been told playing the soulbow as is (just change the skills and give it full BAB) would be fine, but that's just not right. The soulbow doesn't have the soulbolt's blade skills, and it adds the enhancement bonus differently.

So here's my attempt at the soulbow conversion. The original had bonus feats instead of psychic strike, so I kept it. The option was you could take psychic strike as a bonus feat.

Soulbolt (PrC conversion)

Entry Requirements:
Skills: Autohypnosis 5 ranks.
Feats: Point Blank Shot.
Special: Throw mind blade class feature.

Class Skills (4 + Int modifier): Acrobatics, Autohypnosis, Climb, Craft, Knowledge (psionics), Perception, Profession, Stealth.

Hit Die: d10
Level BAB Fort Ref Will Special Ability Max Enhancement Bonus
1st +1 +0 +1 +1 Bonus feat, form mind bolt, shape mind bolt, launch mind bolt +1
2nd +2 +1 +1 +1 Enhanced Mind Bolt +1, close combat shot +1
3rd +3 +1 +2 +2 Blade Skill +1
4th +4 +1 +2 +2 Enhanced Mind Bolt +2, bonus feat +2
5th +5 +3 +3 +3 Blade Skill +2
6th +6 +2 +3 +3 Enhanced Mind Bolt +3, bonus feat +2
7th +7 +2 +4 +4 Blade Skill +3
8th +8 +3 +4 +4 Phase Bolt +3
9th +9 +3 +5 +5 Enhanced Mind Bolt +4, bonus feat +3
10th +10 +3 +5 +5 Blade Skill, mind bolt mastery +4

Mind Bolt (does not stack with original soulknife enhancements, but is +1 instead of +0 at 1st level)
Phase Bolt (as per arcane archer's phase arrow)
Blade Skill: Choose those allowed by the original soulbolt base class. Close-Range Expert and Improved Close-Range Expert are now the same blade skill.
Alter Mind Bolt
Arresting Shot
Charged Shot
Close-Range Expert
Double Shot
Freezing Bolt
Rain of Arrows
Thousand Blades
Mind Bolt Mastery: As per Mind Blade Mastery, but only pertains to the mind bolt.

Dreamscarred Press actually made an adaptation for the soulknife for Pathfinder in their Psionics Unleashed, and made an archetype for the soulbow in their coming Psionics Expanded book. You can check it in the DSP forums, or pre-ordering the PsiEx book. ;)

Yes, I am well aware of that, and it sucks for those of us that were looking to have a prestige class. Hence why I'm making this. A very small number of people wanted it to be a base class. A lot of us wanted the PrC to be converted from Complete Psionic, and we didn't get that.

A couple of points:

(1.) How do you know that "a very small number" wanted a base class, and "[a] lot of us" wanted a prestige class? Do you have survey results I don't know about?
(2.) Complete Psionic isn't open content; DSP could get into legal trouble if they made their soulbolt too close to the soulbow. That may be one reason they went with an archetype instead of a prestige class.
(3.) If you have Complete Psionic, how hard is it to translate it into Pathfinder? Wait, you just did it, and seemingly without much trouble. That may be another reason they went with an archetype: to give a second option.

1) No, no survey results, but you can count the number of people on the thread that saw the archetype and thought it was a cop-out because they wanted to do both, and not have to choose one. Kind of like a ranger who has to choose a combat style, but can still do others if they'd like. Now you're limited.

2) I know CP isn't open content, hence why it's not on the SRD.
3) Um, pretty darn hard actually. Especially considering how 3.5 and Pathfinder's soulknife are absolutely nothing alike other than the name, and the ability they have. What I did was almost literally the first 10 levels of soulknife as the soulbolt, and I threw in a couple of abilities that were from the old soulbow. Doesn't make it balanced for game play though.
