The Beast of Caerbannog!

Homebrew and House Rules

A while ago I stated it out and made it here. And until now I was wondering if you'd have comments or constructive criticism about it.

I've never actually used it since we generally have more serious campaigns than this, but I think it works mechanically like the beast from the holy grail.

Nobody?

You are referring to the killer rabbit, correct? Most treatments I have seen of this creature start with a rabbit or rabbit-like creature (such as the Almiraj), pump his ferocity up a bit (in Pathfinder, perhaps by applyint the "Advanced" template a few times), and of course give his bith the vorpal property.

The holy vulnerability is a nice touch.

I apologize, I am not up to snuff enough, to actually offer useful criticism.

However, I did notice one error - it's only an animal, with an Int of 2, so it shouldn't have 'common' as a language (I guess it might speak feline, but likely not that either).

A good (well neutral actually) and mighty reference. I especially like the way you've written the 'leap' ability, it very much matches what happened in the movie. :)

The Exchange

Technically, it would speak not feline but Lapine:

"Embleer ka-nig-its! You stop running today! I will silflay on your flesh!"

I think the language was a problem with the site, in any case it's not what I'm worried about. I'm more bothered with whether it is balanced enough to unleash on players.

Rabbits are lagomorphs, not rodents. I think it's CR is too high. It is verry easy to hit and does not possess any impressive defenses.

Yeah I just looked at this and came to the conclusion it was closer to CR 9
