Watch your wording Wraithstrike. An Attack Action IS a standard action. (at least, unless PF fixed that snafu, but I seem to remember there being problems with it in PF.)

The correct wording is:
If the ability says you can use it in place of an melee attack then you can, but if it takes a standard action then you can not.
