I just picked up the first "Bastards of Erebus" part and I was just wondering, approximately how long does it take to run the entirety of this adventure path? I've seen some people mention a year or even longer. Is that true? If you have run it, how long did it take you?
Also, how long should it take to just run through the first "Bastards of Erebus" part?
I'm not intimidated by that length (I think I would actually enjoy that commitment), I was just asking for curiosity's sake. Thanks in advance for your comments!

I can't speak for the whole AP yet, but as for the Bastards of Erebus, we completed it in two 8-hour sessions. I added one subquest, but otherwise ran it as written.
I expect the other parts to be much longer though. For "The Sixfold trial", I imagine it'll take us one session for the play itself, and another two for the second part of the story (Aberian's folly and the Asmodean knot). Same for "What lies in Dust", I anticipate three sessions for us.

I just started it at the beginning of September, and so far I have run four sessions of about two and a half to four hours. Right now the PCs are about halfway through the lair in BoE, although that's with me adding over a sessions worth of sidequests. Based on what I can tell from looking at the rest of the books, this is the shortest by a noticeable amount, probably because it has to spend so much more time setting things up.
