Ninja and Monk abilities and dependant ability type

Rules Questions

If you cross class ninja and monk, you can choose if you want your ki pool from WIS or CHA. Monk stuff is all fixed about WIS, ninja about CHA.
Could some other stuff be switched as well, like AC from CHA or stunning fist DC from CHA, etc?
Of course this is kinda the price of cross classing, but after looking at it i feel its not that out of the range or overpowered. Some stuff you win will be pretty useless soon because the DC´s and so on will be ridiculous and oponents don´t even need to roll a dice except for a natural 1. You suffer a slower BAB too and i´m sure there are some other drwabacks.
So this would end the MAD a little bit and make up for some interesting character concepts, although it would be a little open to cheese perhaps.
But then still at higher levels CR, when this probably comes out most, i feel its more like to keep up balance somehow.

Any suggestions, opinions, comments?

I don't believe this is the case.
I think the intention by RAW is that you would track each pool seperately, just as if you played a wizard/sorc you could not decide to cast your wizard spells with your CHA.

Liberty's Edge

Some Archetypes (such as the Sage Bloodline of the Wildblooded Sorcerer) allow a character to use an ability score in place of another one in some situations, as do some feats (Dervish Dance) and even some base class features (Oracle of Lore's Lore Keeper Revelation).

Just invent one and get it approved by your GM.

That would be the case, except that the ninja, at least, has specific rules for Ki and multiclassing:

If the ninja possesses levels in another class that grants points to a ki pool, ninja levels stack with the levels of that class to determine the total number of ki points in the combined pool, but only one ability score modifier is added to the total. The choice of which score to use is made when the second class ability is gained, and once made, the choice is set. The ninja can now use ki points from this pool to power the abilities of every class she possesses that grants a ki pool.

It only applies to Ki abilities. Now, if they ever make an archetype for one of the two classes that allows for more synergy, that would be nice; but as it stands, it's just the ki pool and all relevant ki abilities. The devs just wanted to make the micromanagement of ki abilities between the classes a bit less intensive by making both ki pools merge together. Ki abilities tend to be a pretty limited resource that suffers quite a bit from multiclassing -- so its nice that they did that.

If you can convince your DM to be lenient and allow it to work for other class features, more power to you. Just don't be heartbroken if he says no, cause its the ultimate drawback that many many multiclass builds suffer from.
