Had a dream a couple night ago where some guy came up to me on the street. I dont know who it is, but I did in the dream. He tried to punch me, and missed. I punched him out, and then took the cash from his wallet.
:/
It'd be an RPG dream if you'd left the body in nothing but underwear, to check if he was wearing any +1 body armour. And then sold the clothes for extra cash. Nicking money from someone who tried to randomly punch you out is just fair play :P

Did you do an appraise check on his wallet? Were you wearing armor? Did you stealing from the mugger lead to a run in with the local Thieves' Guild?
If not, then you probably haven't been roleplaying enough lately ...

Come on, that's nothing. I once dreamed that I was in some castle with soldiers running around while some guy was flying around in plate armor outside. I remember not being able to choose between using Inspire Courage and casting Invisibility.
Analysis.
Guy flying around in Plate Armor: I think he must have been some kind of Gish. Combine this with soldiers running around (As opposed to putting their bows to good use) and he probably could have used some kind of Fear/Confusion spell on them.
Invisibility or Inspire Courage: This one is obvious, I'm a 4th level Bard. Duh, everybody knows that!

That's not a roleplayers' dream. For that, it would have to have gone like this:
Some guy comes up to you on the street. He tries to punch you and misses. And then, before you get to punch, the guy complains to the sky that he really should have hit as you're still flat-footed, that he is entitled to a free attack before initiative, and that the unarmed damage is unrealistic.
... not that I had that dream. Oh no. I have to deal with something like that in real life. In real life RPGs, that is. No one actually walked up to me and tried to punch me.

I have a reoccurring D&Dish dream every once in a while...
I’m a halfling druid lazily riding a crocodile though a sunny swamp. It is quite peaceful actually. Then I get back to my tree-hut to find my dear husband has been taken by these kobold-lizardmen-thing monsters. The croc and I track them down in one of those weird dream-montages that involves lots of impossibly thick mud I have to basically swim through ‘cause I’m so short, losing the trail and finding it again, and the surroundings shifting erratically. One time I got directions from an old hermit rat-looking lady along the way. Finally I find the monsters’ crappy little settlement and commence rescuing my husband who is just tied up off to the side pretty much unhurt. I know (in that it is a dream so you just know things way) that they didn’t have any purpose in taking him and have already forgotten they have him, but won’t let release him peacefully regardless.
Anyway, battle commences and soon after that I wake up from the disconnect created by not feeling any impact or pain from the fighting. But the combat is pretty cool while it lasts. I have a lasso that I use to grab them and drag them close so I can stab them with a spear or blast them with a spell to the face while my croc is eating them whole like a snake would a mouse but way faster.
Funny thing is I’ve never played a character anything like this, but have had the dream maybe 4 or 5 time over the past few years. So who knows WTF?

Sorry, but I can't call punching out a mugger a roleplaying dream, save in a technical sense. Me, one night I dreamed I was in charge of the defense of Middle Earth and Carroll County, Maryland from the forces of Sauron. I had plenty of knights of Gondor with me, and my second in command was my alu-fiend wizardess from previous editions. She at the least knew shapechange, since she changed into a raven, flew off, came back, and reported on the position of the enemy forces. Too bad we didn't get to the point of rolling initiative :)

I had a weird couple of out-of-body type dreams last night and this morning. Basically, while I was dreaming, I felt light as a feather. But every time I woke up for a minute, I felt like I was falling back into a heavy, sluggish body. I spent two hours this morning after I got up, feeling like I was wearing plate mail.
More on topic, my stepdad had a dream once that he shot a mugger and the guy died. He spent two or three days totally shaken about it. That was about the time I started to like the guy. Before that, he tried really hard to be a badass. Was nice to see he actually had a conscience.
