Bard / Oracle mystic Theurge advice

Advice

Okay, I am working on an idea for Lantern Lodge pathfinder based on Edo period blind minstrel, called Goze.

Does any one have any advice on how to make a bard/Oracle mystic Theurge work well.

Additionally, it would be very cool if you could suggest a way to make using a spear effective with such a character.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you aren't going to get an effective mystic theurge with PFS retirement at level 12. Even a cleric/wizard which can qualify for the prestige class earlier than oracle/bard doesn't get to the point of effectiveness by level 12.

Well...

Does it have to combine the oracle AND the bard? Like, a spear-wielding bard with blindfighting would be good; you could "role-play" being blind (automatically fail sight-based perception), but claim your other senses are so keen you don't move slow and. An target enemies with spells. It'd be good, and probably in flavor with the character you want to play. Alternatively, play a straight oracle of battle and take skill ranks in perform.

It would be level 9 before you could take Mystic Theurge 1, you would never advance your Bardsong again, and would be BAB +5 @ 9 (so really bad with that spear). It would be 10 before you get 3rd level spells, you'd never get the 2nd advance of your oracle curse. I guess if you want to do this 16 strength and charisma and swing a longspear, concentrate on one class for 4 levels before switching out.

Not overly bothered if it isn't amazing, but if it cannot be done to be at least basically compitent, perhaps pure oracle, and just take the performance skill then.

Sky is the limit then. Generically:
Half-elf (alt class for +2 will save)
Str: 18
Int: 12
Wis: 7
Dex: 14
Con: 12
Chr: 14

Wield longspear

Feats: 1) Combat Reflexes 3) Weapon focus 7) Power attack

With 5, 9, and 11 depending on your focus. Spear + combat reflexes is very powerful at lower levels.

You can work this with any mystery, though those in-flavor that are spell focused (such as heavens) would ask you to switch the Str/Cha scores around to make opponents have difficulty making saves.

You would have to be bard 4/oracle 4 and after that point you wouldn't improve your bard abilities at all. Spells are nice, but the bard abilites you get at the first three levels (there are none at 4th) aren't just that great for a high level character.
However, four additional levels of oracle mean two more levels of spells you have access for and the Combined Spells ability of the Mystic Theurge is rather pointless for a prepared caster anyway.

I would go with an oracle of lore with a lute instead.
