I wanted to order the Beginners Box and Dungeons of Golarion and the only shipping option is USPS for $21.77.....on $55 worth of stuff.....
I am thinking there must be some mistake....or I need to order elsewhere or wait for the FLGS to have these things.
Any ideas on why this is so high of a number? And how do we reduce this to something reasonable?

Hmm, that is odd. I have the BB, 3 softcovers and a bunch of dice and its going UPS for around $20.
It's heavy. The sheer weight of the box and its contents jacks up the cost to ship it.
The Beginner Box weighs more than three pounds and does not qualify as 'bound printed matter', so it doesn't qualify for any of our cheapest shipping rates.
However, if you add more books to your package, so that the package as a whole is more than half printed matter, you may be able to get the shipping cost to drop.
Did you try the UPS option? It might work out to be cheaper than USPS if your order doesn't qualify as "bound printed matter." I have 2 Beginner's Boxes, 3 books and a deck of cards that shipped UPS for $17.12.

Are you by any chance mailing to a PO Box? UPS can't deliver to PO Boxes.
That is weird (unless, as Vic says, you're shipping to a PO Box). I get 3 UPS options and 1 USPS Priority Mail in the drop-down box under Shipping Method when I put a Beginner's Box in my cart (and UPS Ground is cheaper than the USPS option).
I wanted to order this as well, but it is also only giving me one option. I just can't bring myself to pay 19.50 for a 34 dollar product. Maybe I'll try the UPS route, but they never seem to be able to find my street.

When I look at your cart through my customer service lens it looks like the other UPS options should be there too. You have to clicky the little drop down bar to see them. If its just not working for you, the UPS ground option is 15.45 and if you need us to, we can adjust that on our end. Just let us know.
I have found many times that the shipping to Australia costs more than the item itself, or at the evry least a significant part of the item value... Thats on small things.
On the Beginner box we can choose
'standard' for 19.24 - wait 1 month for delivery.
USPS for 35.13 - wait 1 month for delivery.
or
USPS Priority for a blistering fast TWO WEEKS delivery time for 47.97
Yeah...!

I bought a USMC Bivvy Bag from the US.
It packs down small and weighs one pound.
Item cost? 50USD
Mail cost 50USD.
Go figure.
Oh and no FLGS.
Apparently there are a few stores (FGS) about, but if it costs you over ten to fifteen bucks to get over to them...
I've paid more shipping than that, Then again, I'm living in Germany, which means most shipping costs are rather high.
