Something I'm curious on. I've been scouring the wiki and books I have on the subject and couldn't find a clear answer for this. Do all members of the Pathfinder Society faction take levels in a Pathfinder Prestige Class (Ex. Pathfinder Chronicler)?
Curious for a character background I was planning. I was leaning toward no, you can still advance in whatever class you have as long as you can write the reports and similar but wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.
Thanks!

No, you are not missing anything. In fact, it would be very unusual for any member of the Pathfinder Society to do so -- at least before achieving level 13.
Well, scratch that. You are missing something. If you are in a city where Pathfinder Society is played -- you are missing out on playing in a PFS campaign where you would know the answers to these and other Golarion/Absalom questions! You might give PFS a try in addition to your local home game if at all possible. The rewards are well worth it, imo.
