I think the last of my players to be wearing a sihedron medallion has sold it, as none of them that have ever worn one ever remembered to use False Life on it even a single time.
I havent read fully through the AP, and the group is just about to begin book 4, so Im looking for ways to make the medallions more appealing for the players to wear. Id like them (at least one player) to be wearing one before too long, as once they save the town from the giant attack, I think that will be an appropriate time for Mokmurian to mention them to big K, and have them take countermeasures to the party.
At the very least, Id like them to have to wear at least one before they go to fight K, so at the very least he will knonw exactly when and exactly what is coming.
So, suggestions on how to accomplish this?
Things I thought up so far:
~Since the players are reaching higher levels, make the magic on it better. +2 or +3 to saves and d10+10 temp hp?
~Make them an additional requirement like the runeforged weapons are, to to get to K.

I agree with Abraham, you really do need to read the last book and the effect it has at that point.
Personally, if you want it to get better, as it's tied to K, make it more powerful as he grows in power, but make sure that it doesn't become more powerful than the Sihedron Rings in the last book. Otherwise your group with load up with Medallions and it will make things rather difficult
Led to a big fight with very confused giants

Sorry was a troper reference, forget everyone doesn't know their tropes.
You must have them. If you don't getting into the last dungeon is all but impossible, and surviving there is even less possible -- so it's a 'sword of plot advancement', you can't pass 'go' without it. Like in legend of zelda where you must get the master sword -- or any other game where you must have a specific weapon to advance otherwise you can't do 'x' (x being defeat the big baddie or whatever is protecting him).
The item is still useful on its own so it's not a McGruffin (another trope) BUT then we get to the 'item of screw you over' because big K can use it at any time to scry on you -- and they don't tell the GM at any point about this earlier in the books so he doesn't know to give your your chance to spot the scrying (which leads into the trope of, "The computer is a cheating bastard).
Hope that helps more.

Yes my knowledge of the tropes is very limited.
So only one is enough for getting into the last dungeon? Or more are needed?
irrc we are told in Nualia's medalion that big K can use it for scrying but yes you are correct we should be warned of the importance
Thank you.
