Magic weapons and armor cost

Just just a bit confused

In the CRB is shows +1 armor costing 1000 GP and a +1 weapon costing 2000 GP

My question... this cannot be the same for all armor. A +1 leather armor would cost more than +1 plate. And a +1 dagger would never cost as much as a +1 Long Sword

To figure the true cost do you add in the cost of the weapon + the cost of the enhancement bonus

i.e. +1 chain mail 1150GP, Long sword +1 2015GP?

I So confused and I have looked and re looked and cannot find the answer.

The costs listed for the + bonuses is only the magical portion. You must still add the price of a masterwork version of the item. A +1 club costs 2300gp, for example (300gp for a masterwork club, 2000gp for the +1).
