Can't upload a custom avatar

I keep getting a 404 when I click to upload my custom avatar. What gives?

I went to My Account... Messageboard Settings. Same place where you can change your handle before 10 posts. There is a field that says "Avatar Image- None."

How do I change that?

There's no ability to upload custom images. That link should have taken you to a page to select from the several 1000 that are already on the site though.

Paizo doesn't allow custom avatars so there's no way for you or me, or anyone else who doesn't get a paycheck from Paizo to upload anything. The only people who have custom avatars are pretty much Paizo employees.

Also there's no way to provide you the URL to the area to change your avatar image since it's dynamically generated. You might check other sites using HTTPS to ensure that's working properly since I can confirm the link it working OK for me.

I think you've confused people because of the incorrect assumptions you have made.

So, a few things to be clear:
1: You cannot upload an image.
2: You should be able to choose an image from a selection provided by Paizo.
3: If you call the process in part 2 'uploading' you will just confuse people even more.

Your thread title should read: "Cannot choose/change messageboard avatar."

Followed by a request for assistance.
