I don't know if I'll use it for my Hallowe'en game, but for $5, ya can't beat the price... sold!
I bet you will find use for the Nightwall hazard. Everyone who picks up the setting seems to find a use for it.
Does anyone know if Obsidian Twilight bears any resemblance to the Midnight campaign setting (other than both being post-apoc fantasy)?
It does not. Obsidian Twilight was directly inspired by Dark Sun and Ravenloft.

Mixing Dark Sun and Ravenloft? That is just evil; now I'm even more excited to read it! Thanks for answering!

I took advantage of this and ended up getting the Bundle offer they had at Drivethru RPG.
I like it a lot, it's a very neat setting and I am already planning a campaign for it. It dose feel like it's missing a few things but overall I am very happy with it.
I'm using it to set up for a Generational Campaign. Starting before the meteor hits and running mini campaigns set during each of the 25 year spans of events. I'm going to have the first group of PCs be friends of Calix and be a part of his slide downward to darkness. Future generations of PCs will then pick up where the previous generation left off and the world evolves into the fully realized Obsidian Twilight.
Thanks for the great work

Thanks for the interest and support. What things do you think the setting is missing? Please let us know.

That could be a fun campaign! Enjoy!

I'm still looking through the books so I might find some of these as I go but off the top of my head
I couldn't find any info on how ordinary humans are doing in this world. We know how the Dwarves, Elves, Gnome and Halflings adapted and we have all the new races that have appeared but all we know about humans is that they are suffering under undead rule.
There is also no info about how the Core Classes have adapted. For example: Do Druids still exist in a dead world? clearly they do since there is a spell list for them but other than the spells how do they exist in a dead world. How do Clerics and Paladins cope in a world that seems abandoned by the gods. The bit on Elves mentioned some religion called the Weald but I can't find anything about it.
Basically Abaddon itself seems very much a blank canvas.
That dose give me a huge amount of freedom for world building so I'm looking forward to filling it up and it lets me fit the setting into just about anywhere(I'll be exploding Golarion for my game). I love world building so my mind is already filling in gaps with Fungal Druids and Rot Priests.
but someone who isn't as thrilled about world building as I am might want some more details.
(Incidentally I just started reading Place Beyond Hell...Bloody awesome stuff love it.)

Greylurker, one way of looking at Obsidian Twilight is to view it less as it's own campaign setting, and more like a template that can be applied to an existing campaign setting. Although I guess since you said you're blowing up Golarion you figured that out.
Kthulhu really gives the best usage for Obsidian Twilight. The original project which spun out of the concept of undead Nazi elves to the actual Obsidian Twilight that you have. I never thought it would be come as popular as it did, because to me it was a vanity project with A Place Beyond Hell to be created as ANOTHER vanity project for Obsidian Twilight. Using the setting as a template is the best and most common way I have seen people using it, with A Place Beyond Hell as a plug-in for the setting. Maybe one day I will go back and start it from the ground up, maybe via kickstarter. Thanks for enjoying it.

In that case I would say it succeeds admirably and I thank you for the new playground
