Question about wealth

Rise of the Runelords

Question:
The AP assumes the (lower than PF) 3.5 edition's WBL right? That means less gear/wealth right? But when you make a conversion to PF suddenly the monsters and such use the PF versions, so do i need to up the loot given?

Not really, because the amount of CR monsters per level is lower too - 3.5 APs assume Fast advancement, so it all kind of evens out.

Where is the fast advancement mentioned as a basis for 3.5 AP? (Damn no wonder everything was very challenging)

We're starting the last module, are using the medium advancement track and have cash and gear far in excess of the WBL guidelines. We haven't even been bothering to sell the vast amount of books nor the valuable real-estate we've collected. Make of that what you will.

Yeah, most of my group has wealth far exceeding wealth per level rules and there are 6 of them.I have not added anything to the AP other than a few more mooks here and there.

There is a TON of treasure value in this AP. A lot of it depends on the GM's take on evil and oversized weapons, but even past that there is plenty to go around. It's easy to overstep the PF WBL chart if you're not careful.

Leo - My group has just finished Burnt Offerings. They got 2/3, maybe 3/4 of the big hauls of treasure, and are way, way short of 6000gp each (at 4th level).

In fact, if I added up ALL the party's stuff I'm not sure I'd hit 6000. So, while I won't contradict guys who have run the whole path, I will tell you that if you're concerned about loot, Part 1 might make you more concerned. :P

Their gear level is, without me trying to make it so, about what I'm comfortable with from my previous experience with D&D 1 and 2. I'm kind of torn between bringing them up to Pathfinder's recommended level or keeping them at the level I like and just waiting to see when it becomes a problem.

what we found so far. is our group was behind until the rune forge, now we have wealth coming out of our ears.

Just for grins - since Burnt Offerings happened to be sitting right next to my keyboard, here's its "loot table". I'm going to neglect nonmagical stuff unless it's masterwork, so that I don't end up counting dogslicers.

Also, if you disagree with my gp count, you're probably right. Lemme alone, I was balancing accuracy and speed. :)

(Amendment: my party got more like 60% of the big loot - I hadn't realized how outrageously much stuff that hermit crab had.)

Anyway, there it is. I can do a cash total if somebody doesn't beat me to it (I'm new to PF so that takes me a long time). It might add up to 24,000gp, but that assumes the party finds absolutely everything and has people who can use absolutely everything. (My party missed some fights, took one guy alive and turned him over to the city guard, didn't care about a couple of the weapons and had nonmagical armor they liked better than several of the armor pieces.)
