An alchemist, a gunslinger, and 2 paladins walk into a town...

This AP is the first time I've DM'ed in years. My players are playing a gunslinger, and alchemist with an interest in guns, and 2 ranged paladins; one who will pick up monk levels and the other will pick up sorcerer levels. It's going to be an interesting campaign.

Can anyone point out the biggest dangers I'll face with this party?

Smite Evil. No question. Paladins make undead heavy adventures hell. Of course, they could burn themselves out quickly, but they will be an absolute pain as they blast boss monsters to dust.

hmmm, so I'll have to 'encourage" them to use it against minions.

Paladins don't have tons of healing and especially don't have a ton of fixing-stat-damage. It'll be pretty easy to accidentally kill someone just because they lack enough Lesser Restorations. There is a TON of stat damage throughout the AP.

Um, yes they do. They very much do. Lay on Hands is the best in combat healing ever, because it's a swift action to use it. Paladins aren't a feat intense class and they can very much afford to take Extra Lay on Hands.

If I recall corectly there's even a wand of Lesser Restoration somewhere in Harrowstone.

Lay on Hands is a swift action on self only. It's a standard action on everyone else. It's not bad healing, it's just not great healing. It's definitely not comparable to what a cleric or oracle (especially life oracle) would bring, and in the event of aoe/spread out damage paladins start having problems.

Also, fixing stat damage. Until level 4, paladins can't really do it at all, and even then it's very limited. The wand gets burnt through FAST, and then it's gone, and there's still more stat damage to come.

The party as stated might be fine. They also might run into serious issues, and I think stat damage and healing is an issue they might face.
