Charm is not zone of truth or any other number of truth spells, it just changes disposition.

Edit: look at the evidence, this character has no problem lying to his friends and potentially putting their lives in grave danger to get the jump on an adversary... Of course he is ok lying to someone that he is friendly with. I mean what if the wizard memorized all crafting spells that day and the fighters shield was getting polished, or the rangers bow re-strung....taking a big chance. I would not hesitate to let this character bold face lie to someone who charmed them, as long as the tone was friendly, and results harmless more or less.

I like your thought process there.

Gotta watch the tense of the question, if you were charmed, and asked "Were you planning to harm me?" or "Were you plotting against me?" or something past tense like that, you may be inclined as his friend to be like "I totally was, and I can't imagine why, you rock!"
