Quarterstaff double weapon rule question

Rules Questions

I have tried to look up the rules for this, just to comfirm, all the rules that apply to two-weapons fighting applies to the quarterstaff right.

(so, if i made a ranger, he could choose to go two weapons fighting and apply those feats to a quarterstaff)

EDIT: sorry to ask this again if there already has been a thread about this, I tried to search, but couldn't find one.

Yes. It's a double weapon, so TWF feats apply to it as if you were using 2 weapons. Looks cool, too!

well thank you sir, you are both a gentleman as well as a scholar!

I was going to say that the quarterstaff doesn't count as a light weapon in the off-hand, but hoping that was wrong I looked it up in the CRB, page 141.

From the PRD:
Double Weapons
You can use a double weapon to make an extra attack with the off-hand end of the weapon as if you were fighting with two weapons. The penalties apply as if the off-hand end of the weapon was a light weapon.

Excellent.
