Thassilonian Sin Magic

Advice

Specifically the variant wizard from Inner Sea Magic. What do you guys think of it? Is it worth truly banning two predetermined schools for the extra slot? And which sin do you think is the better choice?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

It is for hardcore specialists. Personally I don't find it to me mechanically worth it. Themantically it's got all kinds of good meaty flavor. I would use them as NPC's but I personally don't see myself ever playing one as PC. My 2C

I know nothing about Sin Magic but two words: Focused Specialist.

It seems for every step away from the sins of 3.5 they made in in the initial Pathfinderization of everything, they take two steps toward it in trying to make new material to expand character options (probably mostly by claiming they are for "NPCs").

Basically, yea, but with that decedent sinny flavor. Mmmm...

Ok, that's kinda what I figured. Not a bad option though if you want the extra spells per day but still want to be a wizard.

actually, after seeing the sin magic, its the first time in a long time ive wanted to play a wizard, for both flavor and the extra spell per day.
