I think this deserves some examination - Wizards/Clerics/et al on the one hand and Rogues/Bards/et al on the other hand.
I think this might even be a more critical issue than CMD. I'm not so worried about Invis vs. Stealth and Perception is always good to have, but, in many cases, spells are just plain better than skills. I'm also worried that Bards get relegated to second rank support. They very rarely take the lead except in social environments.
So, what do you all think?

If you're talking about skill classes this pretty much amounts to "rogues suck." Most of the "skill classes" are partial casters and have spells that reinforce their main class skills.
Bards are great fops. Those spells a wizard or sorceror would use to substitute for social skills? Bards have access to them. The rogue replacer bard archetypes have all those spells wizards would use to do a rogue's job too.
Rangers are casters too, and even if they're the least casty of casters they have spells to reinforce their skills. They don't cast them as often as druids would, but both classes are in the same boat of having both spells and skills for their job.
I'm not familiar with the Inquisitor, but I suspect they're in the same boat.
