Can you switch my case pre-order over to the subscription model and add a black dragon? I'm worried about ordering an extra case if I try myself. (can't afford two cases).

If you could actually go through the sign up process for the subscription your preorder should be cancelled when you finish signing up. We'd be happy to help double check that you are just getting one after you sign up, but customer service poking around in people's accounts and setting up subscriptions which start with a $275 dollar item makes us... nervous...

If you check out your My Account page you should see in the side cart box that the Pathfinder Battles: Heroes & Monsters Case now says (subscription copy). Additionally, if you check out the order history page for the original preorder you'll see that the preorder was cancelled.
Hopefully this will help your nervousness be alleviated :)
