Looking for GMs or players in the Terre Haute area that are looking for members or would like to form a gaming group to play Pathfinder, DnD 3.5 or anything other roleplaying game.
Im from Charleston, its a bit of a drive but....my group seems to be down on DnD right now and our 'leader' wants to play warhammer and shadowrun mostly. Im lukewarm to either. But I love DnD and Pathfinder. We have a place to play, about three reliable players and another two who are picky or have family commitments but play when they are interested in something. Our 'leader' actually built a pretty awesome gaming table. We play warhammer, dnd, cthulhu, shadowrun, and are wanting to play deadlands. No one else in my group is going to travel to play DnD.
As for me, I would but its hard cause Im on a twelve hour schedule that has me working everyother day of the week. Ie, one week i work friday sat sun, the next week im off friday sat sunday, so only would be available every other week for a set day. Also, I have a less than understanding wife.
I didn't know if you have a group or are interested in a group. If you are interested in how we play, there is a game store in Mattoon,IL and I think I could corral people to play some introductory game for you. I understand if the drive is too much. We recently had two players leave the area so we are looking to replenish the pool.
The people in the group tend to be power gamers. But outside the game are very laid back and accepting. I'm running an age of worms campaign after the first of year, just fyi. We are looking for reliable players who will show up on time and play regularly when they do commit to a campaign.
let me know if you are interested or what can worked out. I want to keep my options open and there are so few DnD players in a fifty mile radius.
Forgot to mention we play magic, arkham horror, dominion, warmahordes,and the new Wizards ravenloft and arshadalon board games. Non of us are interested in 4ed DnD though. Im into other rpgs that my group isnt like hallow earth, babylon 5, starwars (d6 and d20), Conan (first ed d20), d20 cthulhu, serenity, etc. I'm also very interested in the Babylon5 ccg, i have a ton of cards and its pretty easy to figure out. I have a friend that likes to play axis and allies miniatures and world of flames (I dont have much of either except the naval miniatures) and the two of us are interested in playing the Battlestar Galactica board game there needs to be three players. Im open to just about anything. I just wanna game.
