Prepared spells last forever?

Rules Questions

If a wizard has prepared some cantrips and then loses his spellbook can he still cast the cantrips he had prepared no matter how much time has passed?

Or does he have to have prepared cantrips that day to be able to cast them?

Grand Lodge

He can cast those cantrips indefinitely, unless his Intelligence also falls below 10. He can also scribe them into a new spellbook or onto scrolls.

Liberty's Edge

Under magic:

Prepared Spell Retention: Once a wizard prepares a spell, it remains in his mind as a nearly cast spell until he uses the prescribed components to complete and trigger it or until he abandons it. Certain other events, such as the effects of magic items or special attacks from monsters, can wipe a prepared spell from a character's mind.

Under Wizard class:

Cantrips: Wizards can prepare a number of cantrips, or 0-level spells, each day, as noted on Table: Wizard under “Spells per Day.” These spells are cast like any other spell, but they are not expended when cast and may be used again. A wizard can prepare a cantrip from a prohibited school, but it uses up two of his available slots (see below)

So a spell last forever until expended and cantrips are never expended.
