Lore Keeper is optional. You may use your charisma, but do not have to. Ordinarily, your charisma is likely higher and will provide a better bonus. However, if you want to use intelligence instead, you can.
Focused Trance only works on intelligence based skills. If you have swapped Int out for Charisma, it won't work.
So, you can use Focused Trance, but you have to use your (presumably lower) int bonus instead of your charisma bonus for that one check.
