How does buying equipment work again? I wasn't sure whether to buy some sort of holy water, if Crar could bring himself to enter a temple.
Crar's spell-list will remain mostly the same as listed on character sheet, but will swap spark for read magic as a 0-level spell.

Just back. GMed 7 slots - all different scenarios.
Played 4. Including the first 3 parts of the Everwar. Just need the last one now.
I'm now planning formu 4th star. Just 5 more. that is once Dave has reported.
We had a great time. I was there from Wednesday. The rest of the family joined Thursday night. My son did 5 slots including a late night one in our lodge.

I think you should wait til March and try the Pirate's AP that's coming, can't wait.
Would love to play, but am tuning down my PbP activity, in in to many of them. PFS works as they run only a short period. The only long one (out of 4) which didn't get dumped is an Earthdawn game I am in (was off for a year) running since 2003.

My group finished the 1st chapter in which I was a witch/rogue. Took rogue 'cos the initial party didn't have one. The group was very successful, had some huge fun, a good GM plus one or two drop-outs, which I think is a pretty normal for pbp.
Take a look at [http://paizo.com/people/ChiTreignial]Chi T'reignial[/url] and the game she was in. But we all really enjoyed the adventure, scary in parts too...especially as there's not a lot of additional healing resources. ood Luck and have fun with it.

Not too serious, but bad enough. We need a con up here in Scotland..... best again in Aberdeen, DrakCon gone, Converzion only happened twice IIRC....
To be honest, I have toyed with the thought of trying to garner some interest in a Scottish con but I think we'd need to attract the wargamers in the area as well as the roleplayers.
I'm involved with a couple of gaming groups in the North East and I think that between the different 'cliques' there would probably be enough interest in an event that could run roleplaying, wargaming and possibly include a Magic tournament as well.
I'd probably try and run four sessions of Pathfinder Society over two days, probably a Warhammer tournament one day and a 40K one the next day and then a casual Magic day and a Magic tournament, something along the lines of sealed draft.
Sounds good. Would be up for it - and run PFS and probably a slot of Arcanis as well. (Depending it fits my schedule). But overall I am more likely to manage something local.

Sorry to hear you won't make PaizoCon. I think some sort of con or games day up here would be great. When would be a good time of year to run that, that doesn't conflict with other games events that people might be going to already? I don't know much about games conventions.
Can you attack into a grapple? Or is there still the chance to hit the grappled character?
A good time for a game day? Outside of summer holidays I'd say, February, September, October or early November come to mind.
Could do a Nevis Lodge game day, would be even willing to come up further north ;), just 3 adventures for a day. Or someone runs a mod, would also travel not so long distances for it, say nothing that requires me to stay for the night, so Scotland in general should be fine.

That sounds like an awesome idea. Maybe we can all take a turn behind the GM screen?
Don't mind running one adventure - esp., if we manage to squeeze 3 adventures in.

Unfortunately, there's no way I'll be able to make Scotland, unless I make it a proper holiday. But good luck with your efforts to get a Scottish game day.

I could have a go at running an adventure as well, then everyone could get a chance to play and I wouldn't mind getting more practice as a GM.
I'm still hoping to go to PaizoCon as well, hoping we can register soon, more chance of going of I can book it and pay for it now. Nostrus, you still think you'll be able to go? It was great to have your company on the bus on the way there and back. I remember wandering through the streets of Glasgow at, was it 5am? waiting for the next bus to depart for Aberdeen.
Sorry for the week off guys, work has been crazy and I've had some personal life stuff going on that has made posting nigh on impossible. Will catch up over the weekend.

Changes to combat
I'm making a change to the games that I DM in a bid to make combat move a bit slicker. Basically, instead of rolling initiative for each character and groups of monsters, there will be two rolls: one for the party at the highest initiative modifier and one for the monsters at the highest modifier.
It won't make much difference for the monsters, but initiative for the players will then be first-come, first-serve. This means that a) posts won't need to be retconned if an action won't work due to a later post that comes earlier in the initiative and b) it should make things flow better.
Apologies for the lateness in updating, been crazy busy at work again.
And from Monday onwards, I've had a family emergency. However, things are getting back to an even keel now but I'll likely update next week. There could be an update over the weekend, but we'll see.

Anyway just hoping we can whizz through these first steps to get Kernsten up to 2nd level by the convention. Do you think there's a chance of that? If we all go at it like a bull in a china shop so to speak?
