Wild speculation what was WotC's non announcement at GenCon?

A lot of people have said that there was buzz that WotC were going to make a big anoucement and then nothing happened...... I wonder what they might have announced?

That they'll be releasing 4.5e at GenCon next year, so everyone get ready to buy the same books again!

They said they are considering releasing some of their older versions of D&D as electronic books. Seriously, they did. They didn't say any details, but they are considering doing this.

Guess the loss of PDF sales hit them harder than they thought it would.

I think the speculation of a 'big announcement' was just that - speculation. They've said on the ENWorld forums that everything intended to be announced at GenCon was.

The only possible thing I could imagine would be the D&D Computer Licensing Deal. (They finally got control of the license back. Happened a few days after the con - maybe some folks thought the deal would be finished before the con, I dunno.)
