Spellslinger (archetype) attuned?

A spellslinger can attune his arcane guns at the start of each day. That attunement lasts until the spellslinger attunes to a new gun, even if a formally attuned gun is destroyed. This ability replaces arcane bond.

Can someone please tell me what an attuned arcane gun means? I've looked in the Core Rulebook, APG, Ultimate Magic and Ultimate Combat and cannot find anything which explains to me what this might mean.

Does this just means that the spellslinger can use this/these guns as arcane guns and everyone else treats them as normal? A'la:

what i was reading it means you can pick any gun that you have on you to use as your arcane gun dont manter what type was long she has a gun to pick

also you dont have to have a arcane gun if you dont want to but you cant cast thro your gun use your magic bullets ect
