Rend is clear that you can only rend once per round, but does it mean once per round per foe? Or does it mean once per round, period?
I have an eidolon with four devastating claw attacks and the rend evolution. I am considering taking the Rending Fury feat (UC) which will allow him to rend if even just one of his claws hits. He is still limited to one rend in a round, however.
What I'm wondering is if he could fly up to four enemies, and in the following round claw and rend each of them once.

Usually the condition which has to be met is given before the rend specifics.
So if two successful claw attacks are needed in one round to trigger rend, this limits the additional "rend action" to twice a round; and so on.
Special Attacks rend (2 claws, 1d6+7)
In the section about Universal Monster Rules it is written under the rend ability:
If it hits with two or more natural attacks in 1 round[...]
Same goes for the rend evolution under the eidolon section.
Following JJ's quote in under the ability I would have mercy on the GM and NOT take it to the limit.
I couldn't find the feat you mentioned, search function doesn't find it either, sorry.
Ruyan.

Rending Fury (Combat)
You easily tear your enemies limb from limb with your
natural attacks.
Prerequisites: Base attack bonus +6, rend special attack.
Benefit: You deal rend damage if you hit with half the
normal natural attacks your rend requires. For example, a
troll that has this feat can rend when it hits with one claw
attack, while a girallon that has this feat must hit one target
with two claw attacks to rend. You can only make this rend
attack once per round.
So, judging by this feat, it seams you can only attack a creature once per round, and that is it. I would suggest getting the Cleave and Great Cleave to continue doing it around the reach of the creature, he will only be able to do the CLAW first, but, when he hits, he has a chance of rending an opponent. That is the way I see it. :) however, this will mess up other player's chances to get the spotlight in combat.
