Here is the question from one of my players...
"Since weapons/armor costs half as much because I'm a small character, does upgrading to a masterwork item also cost half as much?"
I'd dig through the rules myself but I simply haven't the time.
Any help would be appreciated!
Masterwork is strictly labor cost, not material related. Even though labor goes into making the basic item, the gold cost isn't broken down that way. So no, masterwork is still 300 gp.
I've wanted to house rule in the past that smaller masterwork items were 400gp, and larger were 200gp (only if the crafter is a medium creature). The more details in smaller things are harder to do. Larger stuff is more "zoomed in" than that and is easier. But that's neither here nor there...

The base cost is not effected by size unless it is armor for tiny or smaller size creatures.
Weapon Qualities
Here is the format for weapon entries (given as column headings on Table: Weapons).
Cost: This value is the weapon's cost in gold pieces (gp) or silver pieces (sp). The cost includes miscellaneous gear that goes with the weapon, such as a scabbard or quiver.
This cost is the same for a Small or Medium version of the weapon. A Large version costs twice the listed price.
There is a chart that shows you how to calculate the price for armor for tiny and large creatures or ones with unusual shapes, but small and medium size armor is the same price.
The masterwork cost is also not affected for a small creature.
