I'm looking through UC for Monk weapons that can be used with combat maneuvers, because I notice that you can make a Weapon Adept Maneuver Master.
Anyway, I come across the Kyosetsu Shoge, which is incredibly confusing to me.
First of all, it says the blade can be used as an off-hand weapon or thrown as a dagger (range increment 20 ft.), yet the text says the rope is only 10ft. long! What's more, it only gives one damage number: 1d4. Is that for the blade? The circle?
When you grapple with it, can you pull them in because it has reach? I assume you lose the ability to use your weapon while you're grappling, but do you get to do your weapon's damage to them as part of the grapple? How long does it take to dislodge the weapon from an enemy? How long does it take to retrieve the blade if you throw it?
That little paragraph of text is not adequate for the amount of abilities this weapon has!
Let's see, other questions:
It's not technically a double weapon, it's just a two handed weapon with the ability to wield part of it as an off-hand. So does the wielder get 1.5xSTR when attacking? It's the blade that's S and P, right? Because the text says the ring is a B.
What. Were. You. Thinking. Paizo?!
