Adventure Path Characer Advancement

New GM here. I was wondering, are Paizo's Pathfinder adventure paths designed for slow, medium, or fast character level advancement? Couldn't find an answer in FAQ's.

I think most of APs state in the beginning that they use the medium path. As a general rule of thumb everything uses the medium. The other two are optional.

I assume it's medium or fast. the guidelines for each path will tell you where your group should be level wise at the conclusion of each book.

Thanks. I'm using the Rise of he Ruinlords adventure path, which is geared for 3.5. I knew the answer was a simple one. I just couldn't find it anywhere. I appreciate your reply.

The 3.5 paths are use the fast progression. The other ones all use the medium one, I think.

Quite frankly when using the AP's I go for a level by fiat option. If they complete the book successfully they'll be at the level a given group is suggested to be. Adjusted appropriately for overly large and small groups.

I've decided to do so as well; it's a simpler method of ensuring the party will be at a given level when they need to be at that level to overcome the challenges they'll be facing. It also reduces a bit of bookkeeping.
