Another "Convincing Lie" Question

Rules Questions

I know this feat has been beaten to death in another thread, but I have one quick question that I don't think was covered.

Can you use Convincing Lie to "coach" someone to lie, thus allowing them to use your Bluff modifier instead of their own?

I can see this being very handy in situations where a specific party member (other than the person with COnvincing Lie) has to make a bluff check.

Yes and no.

You cannot coach them, but you can lie to them. So basically, you must convince them that the lie is the truth.

So, does that mean convincing Lie makes the target just seem more sincere when passing on the lie?

My thinking is that the character with convincing lie is really good at establishing the details of the lie which make it more convincing. It's those details that give the bonus to the person passing on the lie, not how convinced they are.

I think a character with Convincing Lie should be able to fabricate the lie, then explain to someone else what makes the lie so convincing, thus allowing that person to us the liar's bluff modifier.
