Familiars and Languages

Say there's a first level wizard with a toad familiar. The wizard knows Common, Elven and a number of other language from his high Intelligence. He also learned Abyssal through Linguistics.

The toad, by virtue of being a familiar, has Int 6 with one rank in Linguistics.

The toad obviously lacks the physical facilities to speak a languages, but what languages can it understand?

I think it understands Abyssal because it shares its master's skill. Otherwise, it has the usual empathic connection.
