Using gunslinger deeds with bows and other non-gun ranged weapons

I noticed that many of the gunslinger's deeds seemingly can be used with any ranged weapon as they lack anything stating "it only works with guns."

Take GUNSLINGER'S DODGE for example. It doesn't even require a weapon, and could be useful to an archer or other ranged character trying to avoid enemy fire (since it's first level, you can get this with a feat and not even have to multiclass).

Another one is DEAD SHOT. No where in its text does it state you must be using a firearm (unlike the first, this one does require levels in gunslinger). EDIT: On second viewing, I think I'm wrong on this one in particular.

Have I overlooked anything that might prevent this interesting idea?

Dark Archive

There is nothing that prevents the use of several deed uses while wielding a non firearm, and I for one think that is on purpose.

Just like many ranged feats don't specify "bows, crossbows and throwing weapons only" unless the feat specifies. Which means many ranged feats can still be used with firearms (Penetrating Shot from Player's Handbook 2 will be sweet for a Gunslinger!)

Liberty's Edge

In our "no guns" world. I played a gunslinger and just gained proficiencies in all sorts of crossbows.
