How do people think the Ninja or Samurai should work with Archetypes? Being that they are 'alternate classes' instead of brand new classes (and no, please, don't rant about that here), it feels like they are already large Archetypes in place over the Rogue or Cavalier already. Should archetypes for the Rogue/Cavalier be applicable to the Ninja/Samurai, assuming the same abilities can be replaced? The Beast Master Cavalier archetype, for example, seems like it would work just as well for the Samurai.

Sure, I understand that already. As I said, it feels like these Alternate Classes are basically just large Archetypes already applied to the Rogue or Cavalier. My question stems from the bit in the APG where it talks about combining Archetypes, so long as the respective abilities can still be replaced. So if there's a Cavalier Archetype that just replaces the Mount ability, for example, then I don't see why it shouldn't be able to work on the Samurai as well.
I most likely will allow this in my home games, I was just curious if other people thought this should be official or not.

As long as they have something to trade at every interval, it should work (as they are still the same class).
