Looking for stats... (Contains Spoiler)

Carrion Crown

Have they ever given a write up for Tar-Baphon in any module or book? I am interested in his stats and abilities. I am pretty sure my players are going to want to confront him eventually. I was rather disappointed that they didn't give his stats in the last book of the AP.

Since the Whispering Tyrant is basically the most powerful lich in the world (having killed a God, after all), he's far above 20 levels. Since he's "epic", Paizo haven't put out any stats and probably won't until they have released rules for Epic level play.

Dungeons of Golarion does describe the lower levels of Gallowspire, including giving CRs for the different main sections. That's your best bet if you want to look at giving your characters a shot at him.

When/If they do an epic level book he may be done, but otherwise I would just tailor him to the party if you intend to fight him, or get your party close to the level you want them to be at, and ask for a build.

Dungeons of Golarion has a whole chapter on Gallowspire, including a rough overview of each level above and below ground including approximate CR and encounters to be found in it. This would give you a nice ballpark CR for him as well if you look at the lowest floor.

I believe the best you get is from the writeup in Dungeons of Golarion, where it states that he has more than 20 levels of necromancer in addition to being a unique lich, who almost certainly has special abilities that normal lichs lack. His CR is considerably above 20, and he once killed a demigod (not a full god - even vs The Whispering Tyrant, real gods don't have combat stats).

At the end of Carrion Crown I believe characters will be level 15 or 16. To Tar Baphon, that's 'puny mortal' territory.

Now if we could get a dev to start comparing Tar Baphon's power level to other epic characters like Geb, Nex, the more powerful Runelords and Baba Yaga, we might be on to something. Sorting Algorithm of Evil, anyone? :D

You mean spellsort. It's speed is of the order O(n). Greater spellsort has O(log n).

Anyway, they're all in the 20+ category. There is no more data available, so no sorting algorithm will work here. Except true spellsort, of course.

Right, but true spellsort is based on the old 3e Spellsort seed, and it's pretty widely vilified.
