The spellslinger was what I was most looking forward to in ultimate combat, now that I have it I do have some questions/comments.

Arcane Gun (Su): At first I thought this was allowing the spellslinger to cast spells through his weapon and fire bullets at the same time, but then I realized that was not the case. Basically it allows you to cast any ranged touch attack, cone, line, or ray spells through his arcane gun getting the enhancement bonus (if any) as a bonus to the spell's attack rolls or to the spell's saving throw DCs. It does not allow you to fire a bullet at the same time as I originally thought. You can either have 2 or 1 Arcane Gun, If the spellslinger chooses to have only one arcane gun at a time, spells fired through the arcane gun that require an attack roll have a ×3 critical hit multiplier. Why would anyone choose to have 2 I don't see any advantage of having 2 but a huge advantage with just 1.

Mage Bullets (Su): this allows you to sacrifice a spell and transform that energy into a weapon bonus equal to the level of the spell sacrificed on a single barrel of his firearm. With that weapon bonus the spellslinger can apply any of the following to his arcane bond: enhancement bonuses (up to +5) and dancing, defending, distance, flaming, flaming burst, frost, ghost touch, icy burst, merciful, seeking, shock, shocking burst, spell storing, thundering, vicious, and wounding.

Does the enhancement bonus stack on top of existing enhancement bonus? Can the Mage bullet supernatural ability be used with the arcane gun ability in adding to the to hit or DC?

I was disappointed that the Spellslinger did not get the Amateur Gunslinger feat and deeds like the archetypes did that got a gun.

I am hoping this will be legal for PFS also Amateur Gunslinger feat which was not during the play test.

What are others thoughts and anyone have answers to my questions?

Also very curious what mental stat they run off for spells and what happens re: casting in armour. Cheers!

Neither the feat nor the archetype are legal for PFS play. Golarian isn't simply that advanced a world firearms wise.

.....well they're a wizard, so I'd imagine intelligence, and they'd suffer arcane spell failure as normal.

Pick 2 Pistols and dual wield them. put a magic enhancement on both such as shock on one and flaming on the other. take a full round action and you have 1dx + 1d6 of elemental damage. with a high enough dex taking a total of -2 to each shot is nothing to worry about as long as you have the Two weapon fighting feats.
